Forever on chain. After using the @ether_fi card, I've basically entered a 24h on-chain mode. I hope all U cards and exchanges quickly copy this model, the sooner the better, to give global users more choices. I used to be indifferent to crypto cards for a simple reason: 1️⃣ The exchange rate is usually worse than banks - this is especially important for the banked population, as our opportunity cost is our local credit cards. 2️⃣ There are no earnings on the money held inside. In the screenshot, I spent 50.12 AED (13.79 USD), and after accounting for the $0.41 cashback, the actual exchange rate is about 2% better than the official rate (3.6725). For the first time, I feel that crypto cards are more cost-effective than banks. At the same time, EtherFi allows idle funds to earn interest automatically, such as the delta natural yield structure with an annualized return of around 10%, keeping funds flowing on-chain. I finally see crypto cards starting to look like "real bank alternatives" that even the banked population would want to use. If you're interested, you can give it a try.
