Category defining products get started well before the category exists
You don’t want to be an alt L1, you want to be Ethereum
You don’t want to be a crypto exchange, you want to be Coinbase
You don’t want to be a prediction market, you want to be Polymarket
Once it’s working and the narrative becomes obvious there’s always NPCs that copy but that’s loser energy
